With the summer holidays now upon us, it’s time to think about where you want to go for your next trip… and looking at the most popular destinations is a great way to get some inspiration.
New ABTA – The Travel Association research has revealed that Spain is the top destination for UK holidaymakers (specifically the Balearic and Canary islands), while Portugal, Greece, Italy and France are also at the top of the list. Other popular options include Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Mexico and Florida for far-flung destinations.
Just make sure that you arrange luxury airport transfers in Gloucestershire to help you get from A to B in some serious style!
If you’d rather go on a staycation this year, the study also found that seaside resorts and the Westcountry are appealing to many, while city breaks in Europe in the likes of Paris, Rome, Barcelona and Amsterdam would also be a great choice.
But remember – if you’re planning a holiday, so is everyone else! It was also seen that over the weekend of July 21st-23rd, 2.4 million Brits are heading overseas… so give yourself plenty of time to get to the airport. No one likes to rush around, feeling stressed that they might miss the plane, after all!
Whatever you do, just don’t forget your insurance or you could find yourself seriously out of pocket if something happens. Further ABTA research found that 24 per cent of holidaymakers actually travelled overseas in the last 12 months without cover I place, with Millennials the most likely demographic to travel abroad without insurance.
